About National Payroll Week
National Payroll Week (NPW), taking place from September 19-23, marks an annual celebration of the payroll profession in Canada. Each year, the National Payroll Institute community comes together to recognize all that the payroll profession does to help improve business efficiency and the financial wellness of working Canadians.
In addition to the outstanding events planned for NPW, this year we are celebrating the incredible contributions of our members by sharing portraits of payroll professionals from coast-to-coast-to-coast, captured by Christopher Wahl, one of Canada’s top editorial portrait photographers.
In his career, Wahl has focused his lens on a-list Hollywood celebrities, politicians and even the Queen of England. He chose the payroll community as his next subject throughout the late winter, spring and early summer. As he traversed the country – beginning in Whitehorse and finishing in Charlottetown, he met with National Payroll Institute members in locations meaningful to them (as both people and payroll pros) to tell their stories. The results are stunning, and we think you’ll agree that the stories of our members prove that they deliver a real impact.
The National Payroll Institute will share those results on this website and on social media in the lead-up to NPW to show Canada what payroll does to help businesses, workers and communities. Be sure to follow along (#PortraitsofPayroll #NPW2022). And, if you’re inspired to do so, share your photo and story to add your unique voice and experience to the chorus (make sure to use the hashtag and tag our account) for the chance to win exciting prizes between now and NPW.
Together, we are elevating the payroll profession, celebrating payroll professionals and showing payroll in a new light!
