Who We Are
The national payroll party
You may be wondering, “what is the national payroll party?”
The national payroll party is a movement. Built to educate, inspire and seek out Canadians to talk about the role payroll plays in each of our lives.
Ultimately, the party aims to build support and excitement for the payroll profession, while encouraging Canadians to sign a petition to formally establish a national day to recognize payroll professionals, on the third Tuesday of September each year.
Founded by the National Payroll Institute in 2024, the national payroll party is back this year to rally for greater recognition for payroll professionals. We’re calling on Canadians to share stories about the #PowerOfPayroll in the lead up to National Payroll Week, September 15-19, 2025.
“But who is the national payroll party?”
There are many faces representing the national payroll party across Canada. This year, Stewart Reynolds (aka Brittlestar), has returned with a new generation of ambassadors who will call on Canadians to share their message about the #PowerOfPayroll. Meet the voices inspiring Canadians from coast-to-coast: Adrianna Skori, Allie Beckwith, Daniella Atkinson, Kayla Diamond, George Sully, Sarah Lauzon, Vanessa Baland, DevoDLive, Musemo Handahu and Melanie Laurene.
What We Stand For
According to research from the National Payroll Institute, 91 per cent of Canadians say they would look for a new job if their pay cheques were regularly inaccurate.
Payroll is truly at the heart of businesses across the country, and essential to keeping the economy moving. It’s time payroll professionals are properly recognized and celebrated for the work they do to keep Canadians paid.
