Who We Are
National Payroll Week is a movement. Built to educate, inspire, and seek out Canadians to talk about the role payroll plays in each of our lives.

The Movement
The national payroll party
Founded by the National Payroll Institute, National Payroll Week seeks to establish greater recognition for payroll professionals and encourages Canadians to support a petition for a national day honoring payroll workers.
For 2026, we rally support during National Payroll Week (September 14-18) and celebrate the theme of Milestones — recognizing the important role payroll professionals play in helping Canadians achieve life's meaningful moments.
91%
of Canadians say they would look for a new job if their pay cheques were regularly inaccurate.

Our Purpose
What we stand for
Payroll professionals are the trusted experts behind every paycheque, helping to support the financial well-being of Canada's workforce. National Payroll Week is an opportunity to celebrate their contributions and recognize the impact they make every day.
Whether it's buying a first home, taking a dream vacation, supporting a growing family, or planning for retirement — every milestone starts with being paid accurately and on time.
Join us in celebrating the professionals who make these moments possible.

The National Payroll Institute is the authoritative source of Canadian payroll knowledge. We provide education, professional certification, and advocacy for payroll professionals across Canada.
